In addition to the scanning of components or other small objects, it is also possible to scan a complete environment. Some examples of applications are:

• The scanning of a plant as-built drawings
• The scanning of a building in support of work preparation at remodelling
• The scanning of a machine room for placement of a Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS)

The environment is digitised by means of a 3D scanner, and supplied in any desired file format.

Scanning in ATEX zones? Medir has an EX 3D scanner for explosion-proof 3D scanning work.

Due to the large stock of 3D scanners, Medir is able to digitise any object with high precision.
Examples of applications of a 3D scan are as follows:

• Quality control of components
• Digitising of art
• Reverse engineering of components

Accuracy: tot +/- 0.05 mm

Reverse Engineering

Medir has a measuring room in which your objects can be scanned with high accuracy in 3D for reverse engineering purposes. After 3D scanning of the objects, the measurement data can be converted into various file formats, including STEP, IGES and STL.

In addition to the 3D scanning of objects, Medir also takes care of the digitization of environments and buildings.
